How to Sauna

Get Ready

1

Upon entering the changing room, stow all of your belongings in a locker. Enter the sauna in your bathing suit and make sure to sit on a towel. Remember, no shoes or street clothes allowed in the hot room.

Sauna Time

2

The sauna master will load wood into the stove throughout your session. Individual sessions inside the sauna should be between 10-15 minutes depending on your comfort level. Listen to your body and use common sense to guide your time in the sauna.

Cool Down

3

The most enjoyable time of your visit is likely to be the time that you spend out in nature. Sauna bathers can cool off by sitting on the pier benches or plunging on the North side of the pier. DO NOT swim in the marina.

Final Round

4

About 10-15 minutes before your session ends, we recommend concluding your experience with a quick cold plunge. As we don’t have showers and Lake Washington is a clean, freshwater lake, this will clean your body and get you ready to change.

Until Next Time!

5

Please finish your sauna session, changed into street clothes and ready to depart, on time. This ensures that the sauna master can prepare the sauna for the next guests’ arrival.

*Make sure not to leave anything behind and watch your step - it is slippery!
