Floating Sauna FAQs

General Questions

    • 1 Bathing Suit (ideally under your street clothes)

    • 2 Towels (one to sit on in the sauna and one to dry with)

  • The closest parking lot is located at 2150 Carillon Point, Kirkland, WA. This is the outdoor parking lot with a manned parking booth. If this lot is full, there are tow other parking garages less than 50 feet away from this lot.

  • Our Check-In Kiosk is located at 1200 Carillon Point in Kirkland, WA. The kiosk is at the bottom of the roundabout when you enter the Carillon Point property and can be viewed on Google Maps.

    The floating sauna is located within the Carillon Point Marina and will be accessible via the Public Pier.

  • Reservations are encouraged but not required. We are happy to welcome walk-ins for our social sauna sessions, but highly recommend reservations for private sauna bookings.

  • Guests must be 18 years or older to use the floating sauna unless they are accompanied by a legal guardian.

  • 24 Hour Policy: Within 24 hours, we cannot cancel or reschedule your reservations.

    Rescheduling: Please find your booking confirmation email and follow steps to reschedule.

    No shows will be charged in full.

  • Unfortunately, no. No food or drinks other than water are allowed in the sauna.

Floating Sauna Questions

  • A floating sauna is a classic example of something you never knew you needed in your life until it showed up.

    On a serious note, a floating sauna is a traditional wood-fired sauna on top of a barge. It was custom designed and built to bring you closer to your natural environment and to the community around you.

  • Yes. There is a men’s and women’s restroom available on the pedestrian level near the floating sauna.

  • Short answer, no. Long answer, also no. However, Lake Washington is a clean freshwater lake and we’re confident you’ll leave feeling fresher than when you arrived.

  • During the winter and spring months, Lake Washington’s water temperatures range from 39 degrees to 49 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • The sauna temperatures will range between 170 and 195 degrees F with the option to add water to the rocks. This is going to provide a much fuller heat than your typical gym sauna.

  • We rinse our saunas multiple times per day and do a deep clean of the sauna before closing. This includes a scrubbing with a natural eucalyptus cleaner and ensures that the sauna is fresh and ready for the next day’s session.
